Our story
What began as a beloved weekend beach retreat grew into a place where generations come to rest, gather, dine, and celebrate.
A home away from home
“A place for life and comfort—true to its mission of offering refuge and rest from the crowd.”
Adapted from Sabin Resort Hotel’s published history and welcome story.
A one-hectare seaside retreat with more than 15 bamboo-and-nipa huts became a favorite weekend escape for Ormocanons and visitors from neighboring towns.
Sr. Sabin A. Larrazabal worked with a young Ormoc architect and Cebu interior designer to shape a three-hectare resort with 32 rooms, event halls, meeting rooms, a business room, gift shop, lobby, and ocean-facing pool.
Two new three-storey buildings added 40 rooms, including two family rooms, together with Mario’s Restaurant, Garvie’s Social Hall, and Club Andone.
Sabin’s published story describes 72 spacious rooms and a waterfront setting for stays, meals, meetings, and celebrations in Ormoc City.
